U.S. Shipping Resumed

Shipping to the U.S. continues to improve with most orders now delivering in 2-3 days. Given this improvement, we are lifting the restriction on items eligible for shipping to the US, with only Kalakand, Coconut Burfi, Rus Gullah and Chum Chum still not permitted.  

While we're not yet able to remove the additional terms for U.S. orders entirely, we have updated them to reflect these improvements.

By placing a U.S. bound order, you agree to the additional terms outlined below:

  1. All delivery date commitments for U.S. orders remain suspended. While most shipments arrive within approximately 2–3 business days, U.S. Customs may hold packages for additional inspection, which can result in longer delivery times. Al-Karam Sweets has no control over U.S. customs clearance timelines. As such, if you are ordering for an event or need your order by a guaranteed date, please note your order may encounter U.S. customs delays.
  2. All U.S. shipments will include a $27.50 CAD/$20 USD tariff and brokerage surcharge, reflecting fees charged by shipping carriers. This amount will be included in the shipping cost at checkout.
  3. UPS Emails: You may receive emails from UPS requesting additional documentation related to your order. Please note that we also receive the same notifications and are responding to UPS directly. No action is required from you. If you are ever unsure about an email you’ve received, please feel free to forward it to us for review.
  4. UPS Tracking: Once your order has shipped, please refer to the UPS website for the most up-to-date tracking information. However, please note that UPS is currently experiencing issues with tracking accuracy. In some cases, their website may indicate that your order will be delivered today or tomorrow, even though it has not yet been released by U.S. Customs. For the most accurate status, please look for the “On the Way – Departed from Facility” scan. Once this update appears, the estimated delivery date will refresh and reflect a more accurate delivery timeframe.
